Tim Cook made a stop in Houston for the opening, per his social media. And the kickoff event will be attended by government figures like U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, Houston Mayor John Whitmire, U.S. Representative Christian Menefee, Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis, and more.
The AMC is a 20,000-square-foot facility where Apple experts will seek to “share their knowledge directly with participating businesses and entrepreneurs to help accelerate smart manufacturing across America.”
The first cohort of business leaders is there today for the first ever training session. The topic of the day focuses on smart manufacturing techniques, including “machine-learning-driven quality control and advanced automation.”
